Normally by now, the Tampa Bay Rays are starting dissent to the bottom of the AL East. During the course of the season, they would have a few hot streaks and beat the Yankees or Boston a couple of times at home to make SportsCenter, but by and large Tampa Bay stinkin’ up the joint is about as dependable as a summer thunderstorm on the West Coast of Florida. Something is different this year about Tampa Bay besides the change of nickname and a splashy new logo.

Jazz must hit Right Notes to Cover at Home
NBA - The Utah Jazz are hoping home court really is an advantage. Right now, they'll take any edge they can get. The Los Angeles Lakers lead the Jazz 2-0 in the Western Conference semifinals and are coming to Utah with thoughts of a second straight sweep in the playoffs. The Jazz had hoped to come out of Los Angeles with a split, but were back home Thursday trying to figure out new ways to slow down league MVP Kobe Bryant and the Lakers while reviving their own sporadic offense. Utah is 39-5 and 29-14-1 ATS at EnergySolutions Arena, and the Jazz need energy and solutions quickly.

Changes at Darlington have oddsmakers guessing
NASCAR - Racing at Darlington is unlike any other track. The banking is steep, it offers some tricky corners and prior to this year, the track surface was extremely abrasive. For an added flavor this season, the track has been repaved and drivers have raved about its “raciness” in tests. It remains to be seen what affect this major change will have on the outcome and strategy used and in the Dodge Challenger 500. Oddsmakers and handicappers are left with uncertainty as race day approaches. Whenever this occurs, it seems the hottest drivers always prevail.

Betting NHL Conference Finals
NHL - The Final Four for the Stanley Cup is set and Sesame Street couldn’t be happier with a pair of “P’s” meeting in the Eastern Conference, while in the West, a “D” is certain to be playing for the Cup. Detroit is still the favorite to take home Lord Stanley’s trophy at 3-2 odds, with Pittsburgh the second choice at 9-5. Both Dallas and Philadelphia are playing great hockey and are 7-2 to walk away winners as lower seeds. Here is betting preview of each series, starting in Thursday’s first matchup in the Western Conference.

Arena Football –Week 11
ARENA - This week, a number of Arena Football League teams will attempt to build on winning momentum from a week ago, heading towards playoff chase. New York has won four straight and has barely picked up any ground on Philadelphia and Dallas in the Eastern Division. The Desperadoes can regain sole possession of first place for a couple of days, before the Soul plays on Monday, when they host Grand Rapids. Cleveland will go after another home dog upset taking on Orlando and first place is on the line in the desert, when San Jose takes on Arizona.
