Racing at Darlington is unlike any other track. The banking is steep, it offers some tricky corners and prior to this year, the track surface was extremely abrasive. For an added flavor this season, the track has been repaved and drivers have raved about its “raciness” in tests. It remains to be seen what affect this major change will have on the outcome and strategy used and in the Dodge Challenger 500. Oddsmakers and handicappers are left with uncertainty as race day approaches. Whenever this occurs, it seems the hottest drivers always prevail.

NASCAR 2008: Back to its roots
NASCAR - The last half-decade or so has brought avalanches of change to the sport of NASCAR. Some of the differences have come naturally, while others have been injected by the sport’s governing body. However, with a rededication to get "back to roots", for the first time in several years, most of the attention will be focused on what happens on the track, and not the rule changes, schedule alterations, and other external factors that have greatly affected things off of it. Here's a look at the 2008 season.
