One of the most trying factors for handicappers when considering NBA basketball is the back-to-back scenario. Schedules aren’t as routine in the NBA as they are in baseball and football, so naturally, fatigue is a more prominent variable that the bettor has to consider. For that reason, I’m going to be dedicating the next two Platinum Sheet feature articles to studying back-to-back performance angles. In this first part, I will be looking at each individual team, while next week I will be focusing on league wide systems. Hopefully, we’ll uncover some nuggets you can employ the rest of this NBA season and beyond.

Early Season NBA Handicapping
NBA - If you’re like most bettors, you probably choose to tread lightly in the NBA & college basketball in November, instead choosing to invest your sports betting dollar in football. You probably believe that the season is so long, and that it takes awhile for the pro players to get going, thus accurately gauging the teams for their beginning strengths is difficult. However, you might be missing out on early season opportunities, since I personally believe that the NBA boasts the greatest continuity of any sports league, meaning the handicapper who sticks to basic fundamentals should have an advantage.

Could that exciting matchup be in the cards for this upcoming June?
