Heisman Trophy candidate Matt Leinhart directs the top ranked USC Trojans into Landover, MD to battle Virginia Tech in the Black Coaches Association Classic. This game marks the kickoff of the action packed 2004 College Football season. The defending national champion Trojans come in to this contest installed as a 17-1/2 point favorite. Jacksonville vs. Green Bay
A pair of struggling offensive units will meet in their second to last preseason games of the year on Friday in Jacksonville. Between the two, Jacksonville and Green Bay have combined for just 41 points in their opening two games though yardage numbers were certainly improved from week one to week two. Green Bay comes in off a 19-14 win at home over New Orleans, while Jacksonville rides the momentum of a 14-6 defeat of Tampa Bay.
