Vanderbilt at LSU
The clash between SEC rivals LSU and Vanderbilt is this week's FREE College Football FoxSheet. The teams come in with opposite won-lost marks as LSU sits at 5-2 (2-2 in SEC play) while Vandy is 2-5 (1-3 SEC). The Tigers are riding the momentum of two straight thrilling come from behind wins, the latest coming against Troy State, a game in which they won only 24-20 as a 23-1/2 point favorite. They will certainly be seeking a more resounding victory this week against a Commodores team whose only wins are over lowly Mississippi State and div-II Eastern Kentucky.

Surprisingly, these conference foes have not met since the 1997 season when LSU escaped from Nashville with a 7-6 win. The last meeting in Shreveport was the year prior, when the Tigers hammered Vanderbilt 35-0. LSU should have the edge this time around as well as it continues to excel at home, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. In four games so far this season at Tiger Stadium, the defending national champions have allowed just 3.3 yards per play and 11.0 points per game, outstanding numbers. Meanwhile, Vandy still hasn't won a road game since mid-2001, a span of 16 games. In that brutal stretch, the Commodores are 6-10 ATS and being outscored by an average margin of 38.9-15.8 per game. In fact, the defense hasn't allowed less than 26 points in any of those losses.

This week's FREE College Football FoxSheet is loaded with great information, including some key StatFox Super Situations, a StatFox Game Simulator EDGE indicator, some great Power Trends, and even an EDGE indicator on the StatFox Line Tracker. Plus, don't forget to check the increasingly important Advanced Teams Stats Table, with all of the good and bad numbers highlighted. If you missed the 2004 FoxSheets Football Report, click here to see how important some of these key statistics have become in determining College Football winners, both SU & ATS! Indianapolis at Kansas City
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning returns to the "scene of the crime" as he leads his team into Kansas City in a rematch of last season's divisional round playoff game. That AFC showdown is this week's FREE NFL FoxSheet. Manning and the rest of the Colts' offense decimated the KC defense that day, compiling 434 yards while not having to punt a single time. The result was a 38-31 win, the fourth straight victory for Manning against this AFC foe. Furthermore, it was the seventh consecutive victory for Indianapolis in the series. The loss was devastating to the Chiefs, who won 13 games en route to earning home field advantage for that game. The setback sent the Chiefs, particularly the defense, into a tailspin from which it still hasn't truly recovered from nine months later.

Indianapolis suffered a crucial defeat last week at home to Jacksonville, 27-24. Not only were the Colts a 9-point favorite in that game, the loss dropped them behind the Jaguars in the AFC South Standings. With games against red-hot Minnesota and upstart Houston on the immediate horizon, this week's game takes on some added significance. Meanwhile, Kansas City comes off its best performance of the year, a 56-10 rout of Atlanta in which it rushed for an NFL record eight touchdowns. The Chiefs remain 2-1/2 games behind Denver in the AFC West, but face a favorable schedule the rest of the way, with only five games against teams with a winning record in 2004, only one of which is on the road.

This week's FREE NFL FoxSheet is loaded with great handicapping information for analyzing the spread, total, money line, halftime line, and teaser line. Highlighted is a great 87.4% money line situation indicating Kansas City has a great shot at the upset:

Play On - Home teams with a money line of +135 to -155 (KANSAS CITY) - good rushing team - averaging 130 or more rushing yards/game, after gaining 175 or more rushing yards last game.
(28-4 over the last 10 seasons.) (87.5%, +25 units. Rating = 5*)

The Chiefs ran for 271 yards on the Falcons last week while Indy allowed 128 to Jacksonville. We'll see how that affects this week's game. Make sure to visit the FREE NFL FoxSheet of the week for all of the key game handicapping information.
