Miami vs Virginia
Hoping to snap a two game losing streak and put itself back into contention for the ACC title, perennial national power Miami travels to Virginia this week in a key showdown. That game is this week's FREE College Football FoxSheet. The Hurricanes have dropped back to back conference games and have fallen a game behind in the conference standings. They trail both Virginia and Virginia Tech in the standings and but can still take care business by beating both of them in head to head matchups in the season's remaining weeks. The Cavaliers meanwhile, will look to hold their position at home before finishing the season with difficult road games at Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Oddsmakers are calling for a close game here, installing host Virginia as a 3-1/2 point favorite.

These fresh conference rivals have not met since the 1996 Carquest Bowl when Miami beat UVA 31-21. Miami's move to the ACC combined with Virginia's continued growth on the national stage could serve as signs of a budding rivalry though. The Cavaliers would figure to have the edge in this first ACC series installment, both statistically, and because they are playing at home where they are 14-4 ATS over the last three years. In 2004 they are an impressive 5-0 SU & 4-1 ATS at home and outscoring opponents by a 36.8-8.8 margin! On defense, they have held those opponents to just 70 yards per game in those games on the ground and 2.3 yards per rush. Miami meanwhile, has mostly its defense to blame for its recent collapse. After allowing just 26 total points in its first four games, that number has ballooned to 124 points in the last four contests. At 6-2, the Hurricanes must get a better effort this week from that unit if they are to hold out any hope of a BCS appearance this season.

This week's FREE College Football FoxSheet is loaded with great information, including some key StatFox Super Situations, a StatFox Game Simulator EDGE indicator, and some valuable Power Trends. Highlighted amongst all of that is an excellent StatFox Super Situation focusing on Virginia's powerful rushing attack:

Play On - Home favorites (VIRGINIA) - team outrushing opponents by 80+ YPG against an average rushing team (+/- 40 RY/G) after 7+ games, after outrushing opponent by 125 or more yards last game. (43-18 since 1992.) (70.5%, +23.2 units. Rating = 3*)

NFL FREE FoxSheet of the weekBrought to you by TCBets.com - Sports, Horses, great wagering bonuses!
Seattle at St Louis
This week's FREE NFL FoxSheet showcases the battle for first place in the NFC West division between St Louis and Seattle. The Rams stunned the Seahawks a month ago in Seattle, rallying from a 17-point deficit late in the fourth quarter to earn a critical overtime win. Neither team has fared real well since though, so this game will take on some added significance. The Seahawks currently sit atop the division at 5-3 SU & 4-4 ATS. A win here could propel them to their first division title in almost 20 years as their next three games are all at home against sub-.500 teams. Alternatively, this appears to be a must win for the Rams, as they hit the road for two games following Sunday. Oddsmakers see this one as too close to call, as the spread stands at a pick em' after opening with Seattle -1.

This week's FREE NFL FoxSheet is loaded with great handicapping information for analyzing the spread, total, money line, halftime line, and teaser line. With a pick em' spread, the Money Line FoxSheet becomes even more valuable. Highlighted is a great money line Matchup Trend indicating Seattle's struggles against efficient passing teams on the road:

SEATTLE is 0-7 against the money line (-7.2 Units) in road games vs. good passing teams averaging 7 or more passing yards/att. in the second half of the season since 1992. The average score was SEATTLE 20.1, OPPONENT 28.9

On the other hand, from an ATS standpoint, the Seahawks have fared well on the road against good rushing teams: SEATTLE is 13-4 ATS (+8.6 Units) in road games versus good rushing teams - averaging >=4.5 rushing yards/carry in the second half of the season since 1992. The average score was SEATTLE 20.4, OPPONENT 26.3. Ironically, that scoring margin would still net St Louis the win here.

Seattle seems to have the edge statistically, while the Rams get the benefit of the doubt situationally. Find out for yourself which is important by visiting this week's FREE NFL FoxSheet before Sunday.
