Two huge FREE College Basketball FoxSheets on Saturday and Sunday!

Saturday: North Carolina at Wake Forest
Sunday: Georgia Tech at NC State

The ACC takes center stage this weekend on StatFox as we offer two huge games as the FREE College Basketball FoxSheets. First, on Saturday, player of the year candidates Chris Paul of Wake Forest and Sean May of North Carolina square off in Winston-Salem in a battle of top 5 teams. Both the Demon Deacons and the Tar Heels are 13-1 and playing their best basketball of the year currently. Between the schools, they are each averaging over 85 PPG so it is sure to be an exciting shootout.

On Sunday, Georgia Tech travels to NC State to take on a Wolf Pack team that has slipped from the top 25 rankings but still presents the Yellow Jackets with a stiff challenge. The visitors will be looking to rebound from a 91-69 loss at the hands of 3rd ranked North Carolina. NC State upset Tech at home a year ago and will be actually looking to make it eight in a row over its conference rival in Raleigh.

Be sure to visit StatFox on Sunday for your access to the FREE FoxSheets for these huge ACC clashes. While there, supplement your handicapping by taking advantage of all the FREE Stats, Power Ratings, Team Reports, and more on our college basketball pages.

Indianapolis at New England - AFC Divisional Playoff
What amounts to one of the biggest and most hyped playoff games in recent memory is this week's FREE NFL FoxSheet of the Week! It is the rematch from the opening game of the 2004 season between New England and Indianapolis. The hosting Patriots won that game 27-24 because of a last second field goal miss by Colts' kicker Mike Vanderjagt. This weekend's Divisional Playoff contest is again at Gillette Stadium and has all the makings of another competitive contest with the added flavor of postseason implications. New England has been installed as a favorite of about 2 points and the total has been set at 51.

Both teams have enjoyed incredible seasons thus far, with New England coming in at 14-2 and Indy at 13-4. The Patriots were champions of the AFC East division and had the luxury of the bye during last week's action. The Colts meanwhile, won the AFC South and advanced to this game by whipping Denver a week ago, 49-24. QB Peyton Manning continued his record setting season by tossing for five TDs in the first half of that game. He will be anxious to erase some not so pleasant memories of past games vs. the Patriots. His offense was easily the top unit in the league this year, as it currently is averaging 33.3 PPG and 6.9 yards per play, incredible numbers. Still, the Colts are the underdog for good reason as New England boasts a pretty good quarterback itself in two-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady. Plus, the Patriots are riding a 19 game winning streak at home in which they are an astounding 15-2-2 against the spread! They do have some defensive concerns though for this week as three normal starters may be out, a potentially fatal sign against the red-hot Manning. Mentally, New England has to own the edge though, having gone 17-6 SU & 17-5-1 ATS vs. its former division rival since '96.

This week's FREE FoxSheet is loaded with great information, including a StatFox Game Estimator "EDGE" indicator as well as a list of potent trends favoring each of these strong teams. Here are two of the highlights of those:

  Favoring the Colts:

INDIANAPOLIS is 13-3 ATS (+9.7 Units) vs. excellent teams - outscoring
opponents by 10+ PPG on the season since 1992. The average score
  was INDIANAPOLIS 24.8, OPPONENT 21.2 - (Rating = 2*)

  Favoring the Patriots:

NEW ENGLAND is 11-1 ATS (+9.9 Units) vs. excellent passing teams
averaging 260 or more passing yards/game after 8+ games since 1992.
The average score was NEW ENGLAND 26.3, OPPONENT 20.4 - (Rating = 2*)
Clearly something has to give and there are compelling arguments for playing each of these teams this weekend. Make sure to breakdown the game as deeply as possible by visiting the StatFox NFL FREE ATS FoxSheet of the week. While there, be sure to check the Money Line, Teaser Line, and First Half Line FoxSheets as well.
