 Bitter Rivals Collide in Potentially Explosive Sunday Night Contest With a full game lead already over the rest of the AFC West Division, Kansas City travels to Oakland for its first divisional and road contest of the season. The Chiefs, who beat New York 27-7 on Sunday, were the only AFC West club to score a win in week one. Surprisingly, it was the revamped Chiefs' defense that made most of the noise, holding the Jets scoreless until deep in the 4th quarter. Meanwhile, in Oakland, Raiders' fans will get their first in-person look at Randy Moss, as he makes his home debut. Oakland comes off a 30-20 loss at New England, in which it played well, but not for long enough.

These rivals have been going at it bitterly for years. The Chiefs have won the last four games of the series, but all of them have been by a TD or less and the ATS results during that span are split. According to the FoxSheet, there are a whole load of trends and Super Situations affecting this game. Among them;

StatFox Coaching Situational Power Trends favoring OAKLAND to cover the spread
Vermeil is 0-7 ATS (-7.7 Units) in road games after leading in their previous game by 14 or more points at the half as the coach of KANSAS CITY. The average score was KANSAS CITY 20.4, OPPONENT 32.3

StatFox Situational Power Trends favoring KANSAS CITY to cover the spread OAKLAND is 0-6 ATS (-6.6 Units) in its last six home games versus division opponents. The average score was OAKLAND 16.5, OPPONENT 26.3

 SEC & National Powers Collide at the Swamp Annually one of the college football landscape's biggest games, this year's matchup between Florida and Tennessee takes on added significance as each team is legitimately considered a national title contender. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET in Gainesville, but that doesn't ensure any particular edge for the Gators, even though they are favored by 6 points. In fact, the favorite has not covered a spread in this series since 1997. Tennessee has won the last two meetings.
 This week's FREE College Football FoxSheet is loaded with everything you need to handicap the Spread, Total, Money Line, First Half Line, and Teaser Line. Here are some of the key bullet points you'll find:
 StatFox Super Situations favoring FLORIDA to cover the spread
Play On - Home favorites of 3.5 to 10 points (FLORIDA) - game between two teams with 8 or more defensive starters returning. (67-31 since 1992.) (68.4%, +32.9 units. Rating = 2*)
 StatFox Situational Power Trends favoring TENNESSEE to cover the spread TENNESSEE is 15-5 ATS (+9.5 Units) in a road game where the total is between 42.5 and 49 since 1992. The average score was TENNESSEE 29.1, OPPONENT 18.7 - (Rating = 0*)
 Tennessee faces the unenviable task of traveling to LSU as well next Saturday. Plus, adding to the drama, this will be Coach Urban Meyer's first SEC contest at Florida. Get yourself fully prepared for this big game by visiting our FREE College Football FoxSheet of the Week! |
