This past week's top performer and winner was SIFTER. Now SIFTER has been at this contest from week 1 and has had success, like in week 5, however this time he put it all together and won it. He pounded Pittsburgh as his top play and just missed a perfect week with the Chargers giving up a couple of late touchdowns. After we got done sifting through the NFL rubble, we found there is only one SIFTER, who is now in the T.O.C. group with a superior effort and the winner of Color Glow Floatable Football and one month of Premium FoxSheets.

In addition to playing for a seat in the EOY tournament, this week's prize is a NFL Tech Logo Backpack and One Month of Premium Foxsheets from StatFox. Show your team support and carry all of your necessities with this high quality NFL licensed backpack. LA Lakers vs. Philadelphia

Two of the top scorers in the NBA will take center stage on Friday night when Kobe & the Lakers visit Iverson & the 76ers. StatFox is showcasing this game as its FREE NBA FoxSheet of the Week. Tip-off for this contest is scheduled for 8:05 PM ET on ESPN and host Philadelphia is expected to be a small home favorite.

Last season, Philadelphia swept the two games against Los Angeles, including a 17 point win at home. However, the Lakers, back under the leadership of Phil Jackson, have started the 2005-06 campaign by playing much better basketball. They are currently 3-2, both SU & ATS, and will be playing the third game in a four game road trip. Conversely, A.I., Webber & Co. have dropped three of their first five games. However, both wins came in their most recent games and they'll hope to continue their small winning streak as they play their second of four straight on the current homestand.

Bowling Green vs. Virginia Tech

StatFox offers a full array of free college basketball coverage. Of course the highlight of this handicapping arsenal is the College Basketball FREE FoxSheet of the week. Typically released on Saturday, this highlight game is normally one of the most attractive TV games of the day. With a limited schedule in place for this coming Saturday, we've chosen the battle between Bowling Green and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg as the showcase game. Tip-off for this contest is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET and host Virginia Tech is expected to be a solid home favorite.

Bowling Green is spending the weekend in Blacksburg and already took on Western Carolina on Thursday night. Last season, the Falcons were one of a number of teams that challenged for the MAC title in 2004-05, finishing 10-8 in conference play and 18-11 overall. However, they've lost seven players from that team due to various reasons and are expected to fall back a bit this year. On the other bench, Tech enjoyed a solid first season in the ACC, finishing 8-8 in league play and 16-14 overall. The Hokies bring back 4 starters, including leading scorer Zabian Dowdell, so fans are optimistic for steady improvement.

Playoff Hopefuls Try to Stay in Contention

A pair of NFC playoff hopefuls will get together on Sunday when Tampa Bay hosts Washington. It is the only game of the NFL weekend that matches teams with winning records, and thus StatFox is showcasing it as the FREE NFL FoxSheet of the Week. The spread for this contest opened as a pick em' but Washington has since moved to the 1-point favorite. The total is set at 33. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET.

Neither team was expected to compete heavily for a playoff spot this season, as each faced odds of around 7-1, just to make the postseason. The winner of this game will still be in good shape as far as that end goal is concerned. The loser however will not, particularly if it is Tampa, as the Bucs are reeling a bit, having dropped three of four games since a 4-0 start. In fact, they were bounced soundly on their home turf last week by Carolina, 34-14. On the other sideline, Washington shares the same 5-3 overall mark but is two games better than Tampa Bay in the ATS standings. The Redskins come in off a big win over Philly on Sunday night.

There are plenty of great handicapping tidbits to consider when handicapping this game. Here are a few of them, directly from the FREE NFL FoxSheet of the Week:

Favoring Tampa Bay…
StatFox Super Situations favoring TAMPA BAY to cover the spread Play On - Underdogs or pick (TAMPA BAY) - in a game involving two average teams (+/- 3 PPG differential.), after scoring 14 points or less last game. (90-50 since 1983.) (64.3%, +35 units. Rating = 2*)

Favoring Washington…

WASHINGTON is 22-9 ATS (+12.1 Units) versus good rushing defenses - allowing <=90 rushing yards/game since 1992. The average score was WASHINGTON 19.2, OPPONENT 19.2 - (Rating = 1*)

StatFox Matchup Power Trends against similar type opponents favoring the UNDER against the total

Georgia hopes to Claw Closer to a Spot in the SEC Title Game

Georgia hosts a critical game on Saturday, which it hopes paves the road for another trip to the SEC title game. However, it must get by a very strong Auburn squad to help its chances. This key conference clash is this week's FREE College Football FoxSheet of the Week. The Bulldogs (7-1) opened as a 4-point favorite, but that line has been bought down to 3, as apparently bettors have given the Tigers (7-2) a strong shot at pulling the upset. Kickoff for this contest is scheduled for 7:45 PM ET on Saturday night, and ESPN picks up the telecast.

Georgia has had a fair amount of success beating Auburn on the road. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, they have had far less success against the Tigers on their turf as it aims for just its second win in its last 11 home meetings. Auburn has won back-to-back games and Georgia has not played since a 14-10 setback to Florida on October 29. The Bulldogs were without QB DJ Shockley in that game but are optimistic that Shockley will play here.

Georgia seemingly would have a nice edge playing at home. However, it won't be easy, as most of the key FoxSheets indicators are pointing to Auburn as possessing some strong value here as the underdog. Here are a few of the top tidbits:

StatFox Super Situations favoring AUBURN to cover the spread
Play On - All teams where the line is +3 to -3 (AUBURN) - after a win by 17 or more points against opponent after a loss by 6 or less points. (47-17 since 1992.) (73.4%, +28.3 units. Rating = 3*)

Also,
Both StatFox Game Estimators project an Auburn ATS win in this game, with #1 predicting an outright upset. The Tigers are also expected to outgain Georgia 382-368.

Finally,
The StatFox Power Rating Line indicates that Auburn should be nearly a 5 point favorite!
