Cleveland at Indiana

A pair of top contenders in the Eastern Conference will get together on Thursday for an attractive Thanksgiving Holiday game. StatFox is showcasing this contest as a special edition FREE NBA FoxSheet. Tip-off for this contest is scheduled for 8:05 PM ET and host Indiana is expected to be a small home favorite.

This game pits two of the brightest young stars in the league against one another as Jermaine O'Neal leads the Pacers and LeBron James guides the Cavaliers. Indiana could have an advantage in that all-world defensive stud Ron Artest should play James. The Pacers are off to a 6-3 start, including 4-1 at home. They've won their last two games, but are only 2-5 ATS in their last 7. Meanwhile, Cleveland is off to a red-hot start at 8-2, though both of its losses have come away from home, and both as an underdog. This contest could prove to be a huge measuring stick for both teams as they pursue Detroit in the tough Central Division. Last season, Indiana took 3 of 4 in the head to head series, including both at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Los Angeles at Nashville

Though the NHL isn't known for its traditional Thanksgiving Day games, a contest like the one pitted for Thursday in Nashville could generate some holiday excitement as a pair of top contenders in the Western Conference clash. StatFox is offering a FREE in-depth look at the matchup between the Predators and Kings as a special edition NHL Feature FoxSheet. The puck will drop for this game at 8:05 PM ET on Thursday night and host Nashville is expected to be a small home favorite.

Los Angeles comes into this game at 15-6-1 and having won 5 of its last 6 games. The Kings currently lead the Pacific Division. They are outscoring their opponents by an average of 1.0 goals per game and are tied for the NHL lead in assists. Meanwhile, Nashville trails Detroit in the Central Division as it has been the most streaky team in the league. The Predators have already put together winning streaks of 8 & 4 games, as well as a losing skid of 5 straight. Ironically, despite the offseason addition of stud Paul Kariya, Nashville is struggling to score, averaging just 3.0 goals per game on 26.7 shot on goal per. Two years ago prior to the lockout, Los Angeles took 3 of 4 in the head to head series, with the other contest resulting in a tie. Nashville scored just 1 goal in those 4 contests.

Denver at Dallas

The second game of Turkeyfest 2005 is an exceptional match-up between division leaders, with Denver visiting Dallas. The Broncos have been playing stellar football in posting an 8-2 record. The running game continues to churn up opponents at 168 YPG, good for 2nd overall. Jake Plummer has now gone a franchise best 219 pass attempts without an interception, thus earning the new nickname "No Mistake Jake". Denver is 4th in total offense and not surprisingly, leads the NFL in time of possession at 33:10. The Denver rush defense is as tough as they come in holding the opposition to 79 YPG which in 2nd overall. The Broncos have been vulnerable to the pass in allowing 240 YPG, due in part to the considerable number of injuries they have incurred in the defensive backfield.

Dallas keeps riding along behind a strong and extremely fast defense. The Cowboys have not given up more then 21 points in the last seven games. The run defense has been tremendous, except for the Eagles game, they have not allowed more then 91 yards rushing in the last six weeks. The defensive backfield worked out early problems that saw the Cowboys giving long pass plays. Over the last six games the opposition has only thrown for 165.8 YPG. Bill Parcells offense is built on running the ball frequently, being tied with Atlanta and Denver with the most attempts per game at 34. Drew Bledsoe directs a passing offense that has him 7th in the league at 7.99 yards per attempt.

Pittsburgh vs West Virginia

One of college football's top rivalries takes center stage on StatFox on Thursday as West Virginia hosts Pittsburgh in the renewal of the annual 'Backyard Brawl". Kick-off for this Big East contest is scheduled for 8:05 PM ET and the host Mountaineers have ballooned to a role as 13 point favorites. StatFox is showcasing this contest as a Special Edition FREE College Football FoxSheet.

West Virginia comes into this Thanksgiving contest with two agendas. The first is to extract revenge from last season's 16-13 loss to the Panthers. Of equal importance though is to stay on track in its bid for the conference title and the BCS bid. The Mountaineers have been outstanding since losing to highly regarded Virginia Tech at home in early October. The defense and the offense improves seemingly weekly in punishing the opposition. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has rallied to a position where a win will secure a bowl berth. The Panthers have won and covered four of five thanks to a defense that has forced 15 turnovers during the stretch. The offense is still not in sync though after gaining only 192 yards in 24-0 shutout against UConn. West Virginia has committed just 2 turnovers in last four games in winning and covering the number in all of them and should post a win in this spot.
