Having slipped from contention for the Pac 10 title, Washington now hosts a huge game in its hopes to secure a NCAA tournament bid. With UCLA coming to town, the Huskies suddenly find themselves in a near must win scenario, despite spending most of the early part of the season ranked among the nation’s elite. The advantage they’ll have in this game is playing at home though, as Bank of America Arena has been quite kind. In fact, Washington has outscored opponents by over 19 PPG at home. Meanwhile, UCLA sits atop the Pac 10 and seems to be playing for an elite seed in the big dance. A big road win here would great for the Bruins’ resume.
