NBA Playoffs Rapidly Approaching

The NBA’s second season is just around the corner, but there is still some business to be settled over the next two weeks. Who’s in? Who’s out of the playoffs? What will the seedings be? The regular season action for the rest of April will determine all of that. With that said, there is still a lot the NBA handicapper can accomplish in terms of building bankroll for the postseason.

One of the great indicators for determining which teams are ready for the playoffs, or which teams have simply packed it in for the year is by taking a look at their recent performance. The following chart is an illustration of each of the teams’ records over their last 20 games, not including Thursday’s limited action. As you can see, teams like San Antonio and New Jersey are really turning it on, while Portland, New York, and Golden State are anxiously awaiting the summer. Keep an eye on potential spoilers like Seattle and Boston however.

Here is the list of NBA Teams and their straight up and ATS records over the last 20 games along with their totals and point margins during that span.

Free NBA FoxSheet of the Week: Dallas at San Antonio

After challenging San Antonio the last two months for the division, conference, and league’s best record, Dallas has slipped back a bit by going just 4-5 SU & ATS in its L9 games. They are running out of time to catch the Spurs, and desperately need to take Friday’s contest to hold out any hope. Either way, these teams appear to be on a collision course to meet in the 2nd round of the Western Conference playoffs in May. The Friday contest is being showcased by StatFox as it’s FREE NBA FoxSheet of the Week! Tip-off is scheduled for 8:05 PM Friday.

Dallas comes in having lost four of its last five road games, both SU & ATS, and all against Eastern Conference teams. The Mavericks lost in San Antonio 98-89 in the last meeting between the teams on March 2nd. Meanwhile, San Antonio comes off an unusual home loss on Wednesday night vs. Sacramento. The Spurs are 31-5 at home for the year, outscoring opponents by 9.9 PPG.

It should be a great contest. Get all of the handicapping details by visiting our FREE NBA FoxSheet of the Week!
