MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Anthony Calvillo tossed four touchdown
passes and Ben Cahoon set a franchise record as the Montreal
Alouettes posted a 38-24 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
in their home opener Friday.

Calvillo staked Montreal (2-0) to a 14-0 lead after one quarter
with TD passes to Jamel Richardson and Cahoon in the opening
period. Cahoon's four-yard score was his 55th career touchdown
reception, breaking Peter Dalla Riva's franchise record.

In the second quarter, Calvillo connected with Kerry Watkins and
Danny Desriveaux for scores of 18 and three yards, respectively,
for a 28-0 bulge. Calvillo completed 34-of-44 passes for 372
yards with one interception, which was returned 79 yards for a
touchdown by Jovon Johnson in the third to get Winnipeg within
31-21.

After a nine-yard field goal by Alexis Cerna five minutes into
the fourth closed the gap to seven, Avon Cobourne found the end
zone from one yard out with 5:05 remaining to seal the victory.

Cobourne gained 89 yards on 17 carries and also caught 10 passes
for 96 yards.

Kevin Glenn was 26-of-40 for 313 yards and a touchdown for the
Blue Bombers (0-2), who rushed for a mere 12 yards.
