EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Tristan Jackson scored touchdowns 86 seconds apart early in the third quarter as the Edmonton Eskimos scored 31 second-half points en route to a 47-28 victory over the Toronto Argonauts on Thursday.
Edmonton (2-1) held a 16-15 lead at halftime before Jackson took over. After returning an interception 89 yards for a TD at 4:16 of the third, the rookie made it 30-15 with a 61-yard punt return for a score.
Toronto got within 30-28 on Michael Bishop's 52-yard touchdown pass to Johnnie Morant and a pair of field goals by Mike Vanderjagt. But the Eskimos sealed the win with 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, including a three-yard TD run by Mathieu Bertrand with 2:07 remaining.
Ricky Ray completed 16-of-23 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown and A.J. Harris ran for 89 yards and a pair of scores for Edmonton, which posted its first win over Toronto since 2005.
Kerry Joseph was 23-of-40 for 227 yards and Arland Bruce made two TD receptions for the Argonauts (1-2).
