** Doubleheader Game #2

Clay Buchholz wasn't sharp in his last outing for the Boston Red Sox, but he's pitched relatively well since coming off the disabled list a month ago.

The right-hander has usually been on his game in Toronto.

Looking to win a third straight start, Buchholz tries to continue his road success against the Blue Jays on Wednesday night.

Buchholz (5-5, 5.46 ERA) went 2-4 with a 7.02 ERA in 10 starts before a hyperextended knee kept him out a month, but since returning is 3-1 with a 3.28 ERA and one walk in five outings. He allowed four runs and 10 hits over six innings but came out ahead in Friday's 5-4 win over Kansas City.

He had a 3.72 ERA while losing his first two starts at Toronto (52-49), but is 8-0 with a 1.41 ERA in the last nine there. He gave up three runs in seven innings of a 7-6 victory at Rogers Centre on April 26.

His most recent outing versus Toronto came at Fenway Park on May 21, when he allowed five runs in 4 2-3 innings of a 6-4 defeat to fall to 0-3 with a 4.18 ERA in his last five there versus Toronto.

Boston (47-53) averaged 6.3 runs while winning eight of nine but didn't score until the eighth inning Tuesday, when its five-game winning streak ended with a 7-3 loss. David Ortiz and Stephen Drew each homered for the second straight night.

Ortiz is 4 for 10 with three homers in the series after going 1 for 17 in his previous four games. Five of the seven hits in his last 32 at-bats against the Blue Jays have been home runs.

His 36 homers at Rogers Centre match Alex Rodriguez for the most by a visiting player.

''He's very comfortable hitting in this ballpark,'' manager John Farrell said.

Ortiz is 4 for 12 with two doubles and a homer against R.A. Dickey (7-10, 3.95), who yielded a run in 6 1-3 innings of a 7-1 home victory over Boston on April 27.

Looking to avoid a third straight losing start, the right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.56 ERA in four home outings since posting a 2.33 ERA during a four-start winning streak there. He allowed five runs over seven innings of a 5-1 loss to Texas there Friday.

Though Dickey has a 3.54 ERA in losing six of his last seven while getting just 12 runs of support, he's only focused on himself.

''I have a hard enough time tending to my own garden,'' Dickey said.

''If I can just concentrate on being me and hopefully I'll get us deep into the ballgame with a chance to win the game. That's all I can do. And that's all I try to do.''

Jose Reyes and Dioner Navarro each homered Tuesday for the Blue Jays, who have won three of four after losing nine of 11.

Reyes is 7 for 17 with four RBIs in the last four games, and is 5 for 14 versus Buchholz.

Navarro has homered in two straight contests, and is hitting .343 with seven RBIs in his last nine. He's 4 for 8 against Buchholz.
