SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) - Chris Eversley scored 19 points and Cal Poly overcame a 17-point deficit for a 68-62 over UC Riverside on Thursday night. Cal Poly (15-12, 11-6 Big West) also got 16 points off the bench from freshman guard Reese Morgan, including 4 of 4 from 3-point range, and 10 points from Brian Bennett. Eversley also had five assists. UC Riverside (6-24, 3-14) had three men score in double figures. Chris Patton finished with 18 points, Taylor Johns had 14 and Chris Harriel had 10. Cal Poly had a 31-26 rebounding advantage, with U'u Drake getting eight. Neither team visited the free-throw line often. Cal Poly was 8 of 11 and UC Riverside was 7 of 14. |
