The NHL is pushing back the possibility of resuming its season for several weeks, if not a month or more. The league and NHL Players' Association told players Monday they can go home - even out of North America - and must self-isolate through March 27 while the season is on hold amid the coronavirus pandemic. The calendar has switched over to March and College basketball has reached the final week of the regular season in all the major conferences. There is still alot left to be decided. While No. 6 Kentucky has wrapped up the SEC title and No. 8 Seton Hall has earned a share of the Big East, the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten and Pac-12 all will come down to the wire. 4 teams are still in the running for the Big Ten title.

The Celtics will conclude their 4 game West Coast road trip when they visit Utah on Wednesday night. It will also wrap up a stretch where Boston played 7 of 8 on the road. Boston, who currently trails Toronto by 1.5 games for the Atlantic Division lead and #2 seed in the East will likely be without All-Star point guard Kemba Walker again. Walker, Boston's leading scorer at 21.8 PPG has missed the recent road trip with a sore knee. Utah comes into the game on a 3 game losing streak - all 3 of which came at home. They're just 4-8 in their last 12 games.

120. Three teams battle for ACC title - 2/21/2020
It's been an unusual season for the usually deep ACC conference. According to most bracketologists, only 3 conference members would be considered locks for the NCAA tournament. This is a conference accustomed to sending 8 or more teams to the tournament on a regular basis. The three locks - Florida State, Duke, and Louisville also happen to be in a tight battle for the regular season title. In what should be a critical week, Louisville hosts a dangerous North Carolina team before visiting FSU on Monday.

121. 3 Point Shooting Down Due to Rule Change - 2/18/2020
The NCAA moved back the 3-point line this season to create more room in the lane and cut down on the barrage of 3's in college basketball. Shooting percentages are down, historically low. Attempts also have dropped, slightly. Division I teams are shooting 33.3% so far this season, lowest since the 3-point line was added to college basketball in 1986-87.

Riding a seven-game winning streak and alone atop the conference standings, No. 9 Maryland (20-4, 10-3) seeks to keep the momentum going at Michigan State (17-8, 9-5) on Saturday night.The Spartans ended a three-game slide with a last-second 70-69 victory at Illinois on Tuesday night, and now have the opportunity to get within a game of the first-place Terps. The teams meet again on Feb. 29 at Maryland, where the Terrapins are undefeated. So this is pretty much a must-win situation for the Spartans.

The Pac-12 could get a clear front-runner or the conference race could get even more muddled after Thursday's game. The Buffaloes lead the Pac-12 at 8-3 and the Ducks are a half-game back at 7-4. Colorado is atop the Pac-12 for the first time since 2012 and has its highest ranking since 2014. The Ducks have been ranked 15 straight weeks, the program’s second-longest streak since being in the AP Top 25 19 straight weeks from 2016-17.
