Golfers to WatchCharley Hoffman (40/1): Hoffman always hangs around in San Antonio. Last year’s T13 finish made it six top-15's in seven starts at Oaks Course. He’s also coming off a solid, if not spectacular, week in Houston, opening with a 68 and finishing T20.Fredrik Jacobson (15/1): His track record in San Antonio is strong, with a solo runner-up in 2010, a T5 in 2011 and a T18 a year ago. Since missing the cut in Phoenix two months ago, Jacobson has finished no worse than 25th in four stroke-play starts, including two top-10's. Cameron Tringale (30/1): He had a strong March after missing the cut at the Honda Classic. Tringale finished solo third at Tampa Bay, then went T27 at Arnold Palmer and T16 in Houston. Still in search of his first career win, San Antonio is as likely a place as any. He’s gone top-10 in each of the past two years. Rory McIlroy (9/1): McIlroy is the obvious headliner this week, a late addition to the field. He’s shown flashes since his now infamous withdrawal from the Honda Classic one month ago, but he’s far from his dominating form (after a final-round 65 at the Cadillac Championship, he finished a disappointing T45 in Houston last week). He’s made some sudden turnarounds before, but his recent performance suggests McIlroy faces much longer odds than usual this week.
