LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (48-20)

at DENVER NUGGETS (29-37)

Tip-off: Monday, 10:35 p.m. ET
Line: Los Angeles -4.5, Total: 219.5

The scorching-hot Clippers look to extend their winning streak to 12 games when they visit the Nuggets in the Mile High City on Monday.

Los Angeles has been unbeatable for nearly a month now, winning 11 consecutive games SU (8-2-1 ATS), including a 102-80 blowout over Cleveland on Sunday. The Clippers shot 45% FG with five turnovers, while the Cavs made 35% FG and committed 17 turnovers. Denver has really disappointed in 2013-14 after being the third-best team in the Western Conference last season, but is starting to pick up the pace, capping its road trip with a 3-0 ATS mark (2-1 SU). The Nuggets were done in by poor shooting 41% and turnovers (20) in Saturday's 97-92 loss in Atlanta, which came one day after a stunning 111-107 win as double-digit underdogs in Miami. As a road team this season, L.A. has gone 19-15 SU (21-12-1 ATS) while Denver has split its 32 games at home SU (16-16 SU) with a dismal 12-20 ATS mark at Pepsi Center. This will be the third meeting between these teams on the season, with the home team winning both matchups so far, once in Los Angeles on Dec. 21 and most recently in Denver on Feb. 3 when the Nuggets held a 52-37 rebounding advantage. Over the past three seasons, this series has been very close, with L.A. going 5-4 SU, but Denver holding a slight 5-4 ATS edge. The Clips are 31-20 ATS (61%) when the total is 200+ points this season, but may have trouble covering against the Nuggets, who are 17-7 ATS (71%) in March games over the past two seasons. SG Jamal Crawford (calf) is doubtful for Los Angeles in this contest, but it appears backup PG Darren Collison (illness) will play. There are no new injuries for Denver, as PG Nate Robinson (knee), SF Danilo Gallinari (knee) and C JaVale McGee (tibia) are all out for the season.

The Clippers bring the top offense in the league to this game, scoring 107.6 PPG this season while making 47.6% of their field goals (3rd in NBA). Their defense has been average this season in terms of points allowed (100.2 PPG, 14th in league), but limits opponents to 44.2% FG (6th in NBA) and a league-best 33.1% threes. L.A. has really buckled down this month, giving up just 93.0 PPG on 42.1% FG in eight March games. PG Chris Paul (18.5 PPG, 11.0 APG, 4.4 RPG, 2.4 SPG) is the league leader in both assists and steals, and is coming off a very strong game (16 points, 15 assists, 2 steals) in Sunday's win over Cleveland. He has also averaged a near double-double (19.4 PPG, 9.8 APG) over 26 career games against the Nuggets. PF Blake Griffin (24.3 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 3.7 APG) nearly put together a triple-double on Sunday night, scoring 21 points while adding 11 rebounds and eight assists. He has now scored 20+ points in 26 straight games, averaging a robust 27.3 PPG (55% FG), 8.9 RPG and 4.2 APG during this streak. He has also been incredible in the two games facing Denver this season, netting 30.0 PPG (55% FG) while grabbing 13.5 RPG and dishing out 4.5 APG. C DeAndre Jordan (10.3 PPG, 13.8 RPG, 2.4 BPG) leads the NBA in rebounds and shooting (66.7% FG) while ranking fourth in blocks. He’s averaged 13.0 PPG (69% FG), 12.0 RPG and 3.0 BPG in two games against the Nuggets this season while putting together a huge performance (19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks) in their meeting last month.

The Nuggets' prolific offense that led the NBA in scoring last season has gone away, but they are still putting up 103.5 PPG (10th in league) this season. This includes a monstrous 111.2 PPG on 47.4% FG (37.4% threes) in nine games this month. But Denver's defense remains porous, surrendering 105.6 PPG this season (3rd-worst in NBA), including 111.3 PPG on 47.2% FG in March. PG Ty Lawson (18.2 PPG, 9.1 APG, 3.6 RPG, 1.5 SPG) is coming off his worst offensive performance of the season on Saturday (2 points on 0-for-12 FG), but did help the team in other areas with 11 assists, nine rebounds and two steals. Over 13 career games (7 starts) in this matchup, Lawson is averaging 13.8 PPG (52% FG) and 4.7 APG, while doing much better in the two matchups this season with 20.0 PPG, 5.0 APG, 4.0 RPG and 2.5 SPG. PF Kenneth Faried (12.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG) has been stellar over his past six games, dropping 24.0 PPG (67% FG) and pulling down 10.3 RPG. His career against Los Angeles in eight games has been solid too with 11.4 PPG (60% FG) and 7.4 RPG. C J.J. Hickson (11.6 PPG, 9.1 RPG) has scored in double-digits in each of his past five games and had a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in the loss to the Hawks on Saturday night. He’s actually averaged a double-double (11.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG) in the two meetings with the Clips this season.
