OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (52-18)

at DALLAS MAVERICKS (42-29)

Tip-off: Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. ET
Line: Oklahoma City -2.5, Total: 213

The Thunder attempt to extend their winning streak to five games when they visit the Mavericks on Tuesday night.

Oklahoma City has been clicking on all cylinders this season and comes into this contest with a four-game SU winning streak (2-2 ATS), including winning three of those games on the road. The Thunder handled the Nuggets easily on Monday night, winning 117-96 and easily covering the 11-point spread at home. Oklahoma City shot an impressive 45-for-89 (51%) in the game, including 11-for-22 from three-point range. Dallas has looked great this season and is playing with an energy the team did not have in 2012-13. The Mavs have been victorious SU in four of their past six games (3-3 ATS), but are coming off a tough loss when they hosted Brooklyn as five-point favorites on Sunday. The Nets came into Dallas and stole a 107-104 win while holding the Mavericks to just 38.5% shooting from the field. Oklahoma City has been a solid road team on the season, putting together a record of 23-11 SU (18-16 ATS) while the Mavericks are 23-12 SU, but only 16-19 ATS, at home. This is the third meeting between these teams this season, as they split two games in Oklahoma City both SU and ATS already. Dallas got the better of the Thunder in the last matchup, dominating as a 7.5-point underdog with a final score of 109-86, as PG Russell Westbrook rested on the bench. The Thunder have owned this series going back three seasons though, with a 12-2 SU mark, but the Mavs hold the 8-6 ATS advantage during this timeframe. The total has also trended toward the Over since 1996 with it going 24-10. Although Oklahoma City is a strong 18-6 ATS (75%) this season after failing to cover two of the previous three games, Dallas is 45-23 ATS (66%) after an SU loss over the past two seasons. On the injury front, Thunder PG Russell Westbrook (rest) was expected to miss either Monday or Tuesday's game in the back-to-back set and sat out against Denver, so he should be on the court for this one. SG Thabo Sefolosha (leg) and C Kendrick Perkins (groin) are also out for the Thunder while PG Jose Calderon (face) is questionable for Dallas.

The Thunder’s offense has been one of the best in the league all season long with 106.0 PPG (5th in the NBA) on 47.1% FG (6th in league) and 80.3% FT (2nd in NBA). Over their current four-game winning streak they have continued to put up gaudy numbers with 108.8 PPG. Being one of the better teams in the league, Oklahoma City also boasts a good defense, allowing the 10th-fewest points in the league (99.3 PPG) with the third-best shooting defense (43.4% FG). SF Kevin Durant (32.2 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 5.6 APG, 1.3 SPG) looks poised to grab his first career MVP Award after finishing as the runner-up on three different occasions, and has scored 35.6 PPG (49% FG) with 8.6 RPG and 6.0 APG over his past five contests. Dallas has actually given him some trouble this season though, holding Durant to 26.5 PPG (42% FG), 7.0 APG and 3.5 RPG. PG Russell Westbrook (21.2 PPG, 7.0 APG, 5.7 RPG, 1.9 SPG) rested in his last game and played only 19 minutes against the Raptors last Friday, scoring 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting. He’s tallied 21.0 PPG (41% FG) to go along with 6.3 APG and 5.4 RPG over 19 career games against the Mavericks. PF Serge Ibaka (15.2 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 2.6 BPG) has had at least two blocks in all but one of 11 March contests and even posted a 7-block performance against the Lakers on March 13. With 18.0 PPG (55% FG), 9.5 RPG and 2.5 BPG against Dallas over two games this season, Ibaka has played much better than his averages of 10.8 PPG (52% FG), 8.5 RPG and 2.5 BPG over 17 career meetings (10 starts).

Dallas has been one of the better offenses this season, ranking eighth in the NBA with 104.6 PPG on a stellar 47.2% FG clip (5th in league). The Mavs have bumped those numbers to a bloated 110.2 PPG (47.4% FG) over the past five games and 107.1 PPG (47.9% FG) while playing at home this season. Their defense has struggled though, allowing 102.3 PPG (12th-worst in NBA) on the season. PF Dirk Nowitzki (21.3 PPG, 6.0 RPG) really had troubles in his last game, shooting just 2-for-12 from the field and totaling 10 points with eight rebounds. In his long career against the Thunder (56 games, 54 starts), Nowitzki has averaged 22.1 PPG (47% FG) and 7.8 RPG, but producing much less in the two meetings this season with 16.5 PPG and 5.0 RPG. SG Monta Ellis (19.0 PPG, 5.7 APG, 1.7 SPG) has been great in his past two contests, scoring 29.0 PPG (58% FG) while dishing out 5.5 APG. In his 25 career games against Oklahoma City, Ellis has produced 18.3 PPG (45% FG), 4.2 APG and 1.6 SPG. SG Vince Carter (11.9 PPG, 3.6 RPG) had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in his last game, but is shooting just 22-for-57 (39% FG) over the past five contests. The Thunder have given him plenty of trouble this season in two tries, as Carter has been able to score only 9.0 PPG on 31% FG.
