MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (42-39)

at GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (72-9)

Tip-off: Wednesday, 10:35 p.m. ET
Line: Golden State -19.0

The Warriors will be looking to break the record for most victories in a season when they host the Grizzlies in the regular season finale on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies have suffered a ton of injuries this season, but they have also managed to maintain their spot in the playoffs. Now they’ll be looking to play the role of spoiler when they face the Warriors on Wednesday. Golden State tied the record for most wins in a season when the team defeated San Antonio 92-86 as a 3.5-point road underdog on Sunday. The Warriors are eager to break this record, but they did have trouble with the Grizzlies on Saturday night. The teams met in Memphis and the Warriors only won 100-99 as 13-point road favorites. They did, however, win 119-69 as nine-point favorites when these teams met in Golden State earlier in the season. It’s worth noting that the Warriors are 10-1 ATS after two straight games giving up 15 or more offensive rebounds over the past three seasons, but the Grizzlies are also an impressive 19-5 ATS after allowing 105 points or more this season. SG Tony Allen (Hamstring) is doubtful for Memphis in this one and that will hurt a Grizzlies team that is without PG Mike Conley (Achilles), C Marc Gasol (Foot), PF Brandan Wright (Knee) and SG Jordan Adams (Knee) for the rest of the season.

The Grizzlies are coming off of an embarrassing performance against the Clippers, but they are going to play with a lot of passion on Wednesday. Memphis is a prideful group and the team will be hoping to spoil the Warriors’ magnificent season just a bit. If the Grizzlies are going to win this one then they’ll need PF Zach Randolph (15.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG) to be better than he was the last time he faced Golden State. Randolph had just 12 points on 6-for-19 shooting from the field on Saturday and that isn’t going to cut it. He’s this team’s best option offensively and must score some points in the paint on Wednesday. One guy that could be the x-factor in this game is SF Matt Barnes (10.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 1.0 SPG), though. Barnes had just seven points in a loss to the Clippers on Tuesday, but he had 24 points and 15 rebounds when he faced the Warriors on Saturday. His play on offense was the reason the Grizzlies made it tough on the Warriors and he’ll need to be on his game in this one as well.

The Warriors have had a remarkable season and a win on Wednesday would make it the best regular season of all-time. One thing that would help Golden State coast in this one is PG Stephen Curry (29.9 PPG, 6.7 APG, 5.5 RPG, 2.1 SPG) getting hot. Curry was just 6-for-22 from the field the last time he faced Memphis and the Warriors were still able to win that game. If he can knock down some outside shots and build confidence early then Golden State might just run away with this thing. One guy that should be in for a big game in this one is PF Draymond Green (14.0 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 7.4 APG, 1.5 SPG, 1.4 BPG). Green had 23 points, 11 boards and three blocks the last time he faced the Grizzlies. If he can play some more solid defense on Zach Randolph then it’d be extremely surprising if the Warriors only finish the season with 72 wins.
