The Sprint Cup Series heads to Dover for the final Round of 16 race on Sunday. This one is known as the Citizen Soldier 400 and there are some serious implications in this race. Kyle Larson is currently the guy holding the last spot for the Round of 12, but Jamie McMurray is only five points behind and threatening. One driver that will be happy to be out there on this track is Jimmie Johnson. Johnson has more wins than any other driver here, as he has already won this race five times (2002, 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013). The only other driver in this race that has won multiple times here is Ryan Newman, who has won this thing twice (2003, 2004). The team with the most success in this race over the years has been Hendrick Motorsports. One of their drivers has come away with a win here on nine different occasions. Chevrolet, meanwhile, is the most successful manufacturer on this track, as 19 winners in this race have won behind the wheel of a Chevy. With that being said, let’s now take a look at some of the best plays for this weekend’s race:

Kevin Harvick (9-to-2) - Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win Sunday’s Citizen Soldier 400 and it is for good reason. Harvick was the winner of this race a year ago, finishing in 3:20:13. Harvick also finished in second at last year’s FedEx 400. He has shown some serious poise and comfortability when racing in Dover and that makes him a great pick entering this weekend. His 9-to-2 odds aren’t exactly enticing, but he could still make for a profitable weekend by winning and it’s extremely likely that he’ll be somewhere near the top of the leaderboard in this one.

Jimmie Johnson (8-to-1) - As previously mentioned, Johnson is a guy that loves Dover International Speedway. Johnson has already won the Citizen Soldier 400 five times in his career and he has another five victories in Dover, as he has dominated the FedEx 400 as well. Not only has Johnson been great here in his career, but he also could really use a victory. He has not had the type of season he expected and this is a chance for him to turn things around at the right time. Putting a few units on him at 8-to-1 could really pay off on Sunday.

Kyle Larson (12-to-1) - Larson comes into this race as the 12th ranked driver and he knows that a win on Sunday is the best way for him to guarantee himself a spot in the Round of 12. He controls his own destiny and if he could enter victory lane then nothing Jamie McMurray does will matter in this one. Larson also happens to have a good chance of doing so, as he has been pretty good at Dover in his career. In five starts at Dover International, Larson has an average finish of 6.2 and this could be the one where he truly breaks through. He’s worth a shot at 12-to-1.

Tony Stewart (80-to-1) - Tony Stewart still has an outside chance to make it into the Round of 12, but he would need some serious help on Sunday. Like Larson, a win would really go a long way in helping Stewart out here. That is not completely out of the cards either, as Stewart won this thing back in 2000 and has two other wins in Dover in his career. Stewart has not been racing that well lately, but he knows the stakes here and is worth a half-unit or so at 80-to-1.
