Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea hosts Manchester United.

Matchups between Chelsea and Manchester United are usually highly anticipated, but this year’s game at Stamford Bridge will be especially enticing due to the return of Jose Mourinho, former Chelsea and current Manchester United manager. Chelsea, now coached by Antonio Conte, will line up with Thibaut Courtois in net, and a three-man defense of Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, and David Luiz. Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso could start on the wings, with Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante patrolling the center of the pitch. In attack, Diego Costa will be flanked by Eden Hazard and Pedro. Mourinho and his Red Devils will counter with David De Gea as goalkeeper, and a defensive unit of Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, and Daley Blind. The midfield could be made up of a large number of players, but Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera are almost certain to start, with Marouane Fellaini, Wayne Rooney, Jesse Lingard, and Juan Mata also options. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should start on the wings, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in attack. This tense affair will likely be a defensive duel, and under 2.5 goals will be scored. Ultimately, Mourinho and his new team will leave London with a crucial 1-0 victory over the Blues.
