FLORIDA GATORS (6-1)
at ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS (5-3)

Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium – Fayetteville, AR
Kickoff: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET
Line: Florida -5.5, Total: 47.5

#10 Florida will be looking to improve to 7-1 with a win over Arkansas on Saturday.

The Gators are coming off of a 24-10 victory as 6.5-point favorites against Georgia last week, and the team’s defense was insane in that game. Florida held the Bulldogs to just 164 yards of total offense and the team will now look to slow down an explosive Razorbacks passing offense. That offense did, however, struggle in its last time out, as Arkansas lost 56-3 as a 10.5-point road underdog versus Auburn on Oct. 22. The Razorbacks threw for just 190 yards in that game and will be hoping to get back on track in this one. Florida has, however, dominated this head-to-head series over the years. The Gators are 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS versus the Razorbacks since 1992 and they are 3-0 both SU and ATS when playing in Fayetteville. Fortunately for Arkansas, the trends are working in its favor in this one. The Razorbacks are 10-2 ATS after allowing 6.25 or more yards per play in their previous game over the past three seasons and 17-5 ATS off a road blowout loss by 21 points or more since 1992.

Florida has got to be a disappointed team, as the Gators should be undefeated but let a bad half of football against Tennessee on Sep. 24 ruin their season. Still, the team has a ton to play for and it has a very tough matchup with Arkansas in this one. If Florida is going to win this game then QB Luke Del Rio (1,129 yards, 8 TD, 6 INT) is going to need to play well for the team. Del Rio has struggled since coming back from his leg injury, throwing for just two touchdowns with four picks against two bad teams in Missouri and Georgia. If he makes that many mistakes on Saturday then Arkansas will surely win this game. One thing he’d be wise to do is target WR Antonio Callaway (27 rec, 441 yards, 2 TD) as often as possible. Callaway is a dynamic playmaker and all he needs is the ball with a little bit of space in order to find the end zone. Florida must get him more involved moving forward. Defensively, the Gators should be fine in this one. Florida has given up just 1,679 yards of total offense this season (1st in NCAAF) and only 11.7 PPG (2nd in NCAAF) as well. It’s unlikely that those numbers change too much after Saturday’s game.

Arkansas is coming off of an embarrassing loss against Auburn, but the team has now had two weeks to let that settle in and should be very prepared for this game against Florida. Defensively, this game should be a lot easier for Arkansas than the one last week. Florida lacks firepower on the offensive side of the ball, so the Razorbacks just need to avoid making mistakes in coverage versus Del Rio. The other side of the ball is a whole different story, though. Arkansas needs QB Austin Allen (2,048 yards, 18 TD, 7 INT) to be on his game in order to pick up a win in this one. Allen was miserable against Auburn, going just 17-for-30 for 187 yards and zero touchdowns. He threw a pick in that one and he is going to need to be careful on Saturday. The Gators have one of the best secondaries in the league and he can’t afford to turn the ball too much in this game. If Allen can throw for over 250 yards with two or more touchdowns then it’s likely that the Razorbacks pull off this upset.
