The world’s top golfers head to Mexico City for the WGC-Mexico Championship on Thursday. Last week, Rickie Fowler dominated the field at The Honda Classic. Fowler shot a 12-under in that event, defeating both Gary Woodland and Morgan Hoffmann by four strokes apiece. Fowler will be back out there on Thursday, and so will guys like Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia. This is the first time this season that we’ll see McIlory and Stenson, and McIlory will be very excited to be back out there with some of these golfers this weekend. He had been dealing with a rib injury earlier this year, but he is finally back and feeling good. It’s worth mentioning that Tiger Woods will not be out there in the near future. He is out indefinitely and that’s a shame, as Woods has won this tournament seven times in his career. With that out of the way, let’s now take a look at some of the best value plays for this event:

Dustin Johnson (15-to-2) - Dustin Johnson has picked up this season almost exactly where he left last season, as he is playing fantastic golf early in the year. Johnson has already finished inside the top-five in three tournaments, and he is coming off of a victory at the Genesis Open two weeks ago. Johnson shot a 17-under to win that one, and he now comes to a course where he has had some success in the past. Johnson was the runner-up here in 2011, and he ended up winning this thing in 2015. He shot a 9-under to beat J.B. Holmes by one stroke in that tournament, and he should be able to regain that magic this weekend. Either way, he’s worth taking a shot on at 15-to-2.

Adam Scott (25-to-1) - Adam Scott has not yet finished inside the top-10 this season, but that should be coming this weekend. Scott won this tournament a year ago, shooting a 12-under to defeat Bubba Watson by one stroke. Scott’s 12-under was the best score shot on this course in the past three years, and he should be brimming with confidence on Thursday. He might be underperforming a bit this season, but he also hasn’t played as much as most of his competitors. The rust should be knocked off by now, and you should not be afraid to put something on Scott at 25-to-1. He could end up paying off huge.

Jimmy Walker (55-to-1) - Jimmy Walker has not gotten off to the start he was hoping for this season, but it’s hard to imagine him not turning it around. Walker is a fantastic golfer, and he should earn a victory very shortly. This tournament represents a good opportunity for him to do that, as his game actually suits this course very nicely. Walker is not going to make many mistakes, and that is a trait that will come in handy here. It doesn’t hurt that Walker is receiving some ridiculous odds at 55-to-1. Even a quarter-unit would pay off huge, and its worth taking a chance on him.

Danny Willett (95-to-1) - If you’re looking for somebody with truly wild odds this weekend then that would be Willett. Willett has not played as much as most of his competitors, but this is still one of the most talented golfers in the world. The fact that he is getting 95-to-1 odds is remarkable, and it’s very hard to pass up that type of value. The fact of the matter is that Willett would surprise nobody by winning and, for that reason; he is worth putting a little bit on.
