For the second straight week, the world’s top golfers will mostly be competing on the European Tour. They’ll be teeing off in the Scottish Open on Thursday and there have been some big name winners in this tournament over the years. Over the past five years, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, and Phil Mickelson have all come away with wins here. This is, however, the first year that this tournament will be held at Dundonald Links. That means that these golfers are not going to be very familiar with the course when they get out there on Thursday. Of the three players that were listed as winners here before, only Rickie Fowler will be in this year’s field. He will, however, be joined by guys like Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, Matt Kuchar, and Patrick Reed. Alex Noren is also playing, and he is the golfer that came away with the win here in 2016. With that out of the way, let’s now take a look at who might come away with the win here on Sunday:

Rory McIlroy (10-to-1) - Rory McIlroy is going to be eager to win this tournament this weekend, as he is coming off of an embarrassing performance at the Irish Open last week. McIlroy is the host of that tournament, but he was unable to make the cut. He shot a +1 in the first two days, which is crazy considering the fact that the winner shot a -23. Look for him to come out and do everything possible to make up for that outing. Besides, how often can you get a player like McIlroy at 10-to-1 odds?

Adam Scott (18-to-1) - Adam Scott was cut from the U.S. Open, but the 36-year-old had been playing well heading into that tournament. Scott had finished inside the top-10 in three of the five tournaments heading into that one. He’ll now look to make a splash with a big victory on the European Tour. It’s certainly not out of the question, as Scott has a game that is perfectly suited for this tournament. He’ll surely be a factor come Sunday and is worth taking a chance on at 18-to-1.

Tyrrell Hatton (45-to-1) - Like McIlroy, Hatton also shot a +1 and was cut from the Irish Open last week. Still, 45-to-1 odds are insanely favorable for a guy that has the talent that Hatton does. Hatton has made waves this week by sinking an albatross and then a hole-in-one on back-to-back holes in a practice round. That’s the type of player we’re talking about, one with all of the ability in the world. He’s worth taking a shot on here.

Anirban Lahiri (75-to-1) - When looking for somebody with absurd odds in this tournament, Lahiri is a guy that sticks out. He’s going off at 75-to-1 here and he really does have a legitimate chance to win this thing. When Lahiri is on his game, he is far better than his ranking indicates. He’ll also really need to play well here, as he is now playing in the British Open and needs this event to sharpen his skills.
