CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd had a message for the college football world: Get used to the eighth-ranked Tigers winning big games.

Over his five seasons on campus, Boyd had grown tired of his team's reputation in the sport for flopping in the biggest games and most critical moments.

Boyd made sure that didn't happen in the season opener, accounting for five touchdowns in a 38-35 win over No. 5 Georgia in the lone top-10 showdown in college football's kickoff weekend. Boyd helped the Tigers become the first team from outside the Southeastern Conference to defeat two top-10 SEC teams in consecutive games after Clemson closed 2012 with a 25-24 victory over LSU at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

For Boyd, the Georgia victory brought satisfaction and motivation for more success.
