CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Miami leading rusher Duke Johnson and receiver Phillip Dorsett left the Hurricanes' game Thursday night at North Carolina in the first quarter because of injuries.

Johnson broke free for a 59-yard run in the opening period and had 83 yards on eight carries before heading to the locker room with an undisclosed injury. Johnson came in ranked 14th nationally in rushing at 114 yards per game for the 10th-ranked Hurricanes.

Dorsett suffered an apparent left knee injury when he was hit low on a tackle by Jabari Price on a reverse. He was helped off the field and eventually to the locker room.

The junior is the team's third-leading receiver with 11 catches for 204 yards coming in. He had a 68-yard catch before exiting the game.
