ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Doug Marrone credits Saints coach Sean Payton for furthering his career by hiring him as an assistant in New Orleans in 2006.

The Buffalo Bills rookie coach says he wouldn't be where he is today if not for the three seasons he spent as the Saints offensive coordinator.

On Sunday, Marrone and his mentor will on opposing sidelines when the Bills (3-4) travel to play the Saints (5-1).

Marrone was so looking forward to the homecoming, he got in a quick hello by playfully interrupting Payton's conference call with reporters this week.

Come game time, it'll be all business. Marrone knows firsthand the challenges opponents face playing inside the Superdome, where the crowd is usually raucous, and the Drew Brees-led uptempo Saints offense difficult to contain.
