PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says he's going to go over his team's performance in a record-setting 55-31 loss to New England on Sunday ''with a fine tooth comb.''

It might take a while.

The Steelers set franchise records for points allowed and yards allowed while falling to 2-6. That's the franchise's worst mark at the season's halfway point since 2006.

Linebacker LaMarr Woodley says he's ''embarrassed'' by the defense's play. Pittsburgh rallied to tie the game at 24 before the Patriots scored 31 points over the final 17 minutes. Safety Ryan Clark adds the defense ''didn't show up'' and took personal responsibility for an 81-yard touchdown pass by New England's Tom Brady that broke things open.

The Steelers host Buffalo (3-6) on Sunday.
