TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Todd Graham's first two recruiting classes at Arizona State were decent, not great.
Bolstered by two winning seasons and plans for a renovated stadium, Graham not only made his third class one of the best in the Pac-12, but best in the country.
Anchored by linebacker C.J. Calhoun, Graham pulled in a recruiting class that was ranked 17th nationally by Scout.com and 21st by Rivals.com, which had the Sun Devils third-best in the Pac-12.
Arizona State's 2014 class of 25 student-athletes is front-loaded with impact defensive players after the Sun Devils lost nine starters from last year's 10-4 team.
Graham also added two quarterbacks for the first time at Arizona State, Manny Wilkins of Novato, Calif., and Coltin Gerhart of Murrieta, Calif.
