BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Freshman quarterback Brandon Harris outperformed sophomore and projected starter Anthony Jennings in LSU's spring game on Saturday, passing for three touchdowns and running for another.

Jennings began the game among the LSU starters on the White team before switching to the Purple squad in the second quarter. He threw two interceptions that were returned for touchdowns in the first half, and the White squad went on to win 42-14.

Junior defensive end Danielle Hunter had two sacks for the White team, while Purple linebacker Ronnie Feist led all defenders with 14 tackles.

Linebackers Kwon Alexander and Deion Jones snagged the two Jennings interceptions, going untouched for defensive scores.

Jennings was senior Zach Mettenberger's backup last season and started in LSU's 21-14 Outback Bowl victory over Iowa after Mettenberger's knee injury.
