MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Miami's spring game featured the unveiling of new uniforms and new hope for a player who was seriously ill.

Offensive lineman Hunter Knighton released a statement through the school Saturday, saying suffered heatstroke after a workout on Feb. 24 and was hospitalized with brain swelling, multiple seizures and organ failure. He remained in intensive care for two weeks but still plans to play.

Later Saturday, Miami released four new uniform designs, part of what the program hopes is a fresh start after a drawn-out NCAA investigation.

Miami coach Al Golden says ''the uniform comes at the right time for this team.''

The Hurricanes lost quarterback Ryan Williams to a torn ACL eight days before the spring game, which had an unusual format because of a lack of depth.
