A year after Temple upset Duke, the two teams will square off again, but this time at a neutral setting in New Jersey.

The No. 2 Blue Devils have college basketball’s most impressive resume to begin the season with wins against three then-top-5 teams: Kentucky, Louisville and Ohio State. Temple is undefeated, but has yet to play a ranked opponent. Both teams have beaten Delaware, but the Blue Devils won by 38 and the Owls won by just five. Duke is 5-3 ATS this season while Temple is 3-2.

Temple has been led on offense by 6-foot-6 swingman Scootie Randall, who leads the team in both scoring (16.7 PPG) and rebounding (7.2 RPG) in his senior season. But the Blue Devils focus might be on Khalif Wyatt (15.2 PPG, 4.8 APG) who Duke last season in an 8-of-12 shooting performance. Anthony Lee (11.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG) rounds out the double-digit scorers while Rahir Hollis-Jefferson’s can sometimes create havoc on the defensive end with 2.3 SPG and 1.5 BPG. But without the physical body to defend Plumlee, Temple could be in for a long afternoon.

Duke’s major worry beyond Plumlee is the team’s rebounding, as no other Blue Devils player averages even 5.0 RPG. Forward Ryan Kelly (13.0 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 2.3 BPG) has been a defensive menace this season and has hit some key buckets, but has been ineffective on the glass. He is key in opening up the offense, however, making 1.1 threes per game despite standing at 6-foot-11. Although he's dealing with a leg injury and sat out the team’s last game, Seth Curry should be ready to go Saturday and has been the team’s second-best scorer with 15.1 PPG. Next comes Rasheed Sulaimon (12.9 PPG, 4.3 RPG) who has displayed incredible poise and defensive abilities as a freshman, something that may be tested against Scootie Randall. The motor of the offense, however, is point guard Quinn Cook (10.5 PPG, 5.9 APG). He has come into his own as a floor general this season, helping the offense to make 48.1% of its field goals (27th-best in nation).
