Saint Joseph’s will walk into The Pavilion as road favorites Tuesday night, taking on a major conference foe in Villanova.

The Wildcats are coming off a 13-point victory against Pennsylvania, sending them to 5-4 SU on the year and 5-3 ATS. It’s been a strange start to the season for the Wildcats, who own respectable wins against Vanderbilt and Purdue, but disappointing losses to Columbia and La Salle. St. Joe’s is coming off an easy win against Coppin State, but its season has been highlighted by an early-season upset of then-No. 20 Notre Dame.

The St. Joe's offense is led by 5-foot-11 guard Carl Jones (15.4 PPG), who has been lights out this year with 3.2 threes per game on 42.1% shooting from deep. Langston Galloway (13.0 PPG) joins him in the backcourt while C.J. Aiken (11.1 PPG, 5.1 RPG) rounds out the double-digit scorers in the frontcourt. He is also as a solid interior defender with 2.6 BPG. The other guys to watch out for down low are the 6-foot-8 duo of Ronald Roberts Jr. (9.6 PPG, 8.6 RPG) and Halil Kanacevic (8.8 PPG, 7.3 RPG). They’ll have their hands full all night, trying to win the battle on the boards for a road victory.

Arcidiacono runs Villanova's offense, but JayVaughn Pinkston (11.3 PPG, 5.2 RPG) and James Bell (10.8 PPG, 4.7 RPG) are also keys to the offensive flow. Six-foot-10 senior center Mouphtaou Yarou (8.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG) is the team’s leading rebounder, while Ochefu adds 3.4 RPG in just 15.1 MPG. This team doesn’t rely heavy on its outside shooting, but it is bound to improve its accuracy. Arcidiacono is hitting just 1.9 threes per game for just a 29.3% clip from deep, something he is surely to correct as he gets more time under his belt. Overall, he is making just 30.9% of his field goals. He has shown promise as a scorer, but needs to become more efficient with his shot selection.
