No. 19 Georgetown seeks a 15th straight home victory when it invites Pittsburgh for a visit to the Verizon Center on Tuesday night.

The Panthers have lost two in a row despite being favored by 6 points over Cincinnati (lost by 9) and giving 7 points at Rutgers (lost by 5). The last defeat was particularly troubling considering Pittsburgh (+8.4 RPG this season) was dominated on the boards, 31-21. The Hoyas saw their seven-game win streak come to a halt on Saturday when they lost 49-48 at Marquette. They were also hurt on the glass, getting outrebounded 34-25 by the Golden Eagles. Both teams are excellent defensively with Pittsburgh giving up just 53.5 PPG (39.6% FG) and Georgetown allowing only 54.2 PPG (37.6% FG) this year.

F J.J. Moore had a team-high 14 points in only 22 minutes of action, giving him an impressive 13.5 PPG in 19.0 MPG over the past four contests. The reason he doesn't get more time on the court is because the Panthers run a 10-man rotation with all 10 players averaging at least 10.6 MPG. F Talib Zanna (13.1 PPG) is the leading scorer with an impressive 61.9% FG clip and a solid 5.9 RPG. G Tray Woodall (11.5 PPG, 5.8 APG) is shooting 49% from the floor and 39% from three-point land, but his most impressive numbers are his 87 assists and just 27 turnovers (3.22 Ast/TO ratio). Freshman C Steven Adams (6.9 PPG, 6.3 RPG) continues to improve greatly with 8.2 PPG and 7.6 RPG in the past five games.

Sophomore F Otto Porter is the do-it-all star for Georgetown with a team-high 13.2 PPG, 7.5 RPG and 2.0 SPG. He makes 50% of his shots, including 42.3% from 3-point range. Porter pumped in 20 points and grabbed six boards the last time these teams met, in last year's Big East Tournament. F Greg Whittington is also having a great sophomore season with 12.6 PPG and 7.4 RPG. He's scored 17.0 PPG (57% FG) with 7.7 RPG in the past three contests. Junior G Markel Starks is coming off a huge game at Marquette, scoring 18 points (7-of-12 FG) and dishing out seven assists. He is the Hoyas best long-range threat, knocking down 17-of-39 three-point tries (44%) this season.
