AUSTIN (AP) -Suspended Texas football players Andre Jones and James Henry have been indicted on felony charges for their alleged involvement in a July home invasion.

Jones, a freshman defensive tackle, was indicted on four second-degree felony counts of robbery. Henry, a freshman running back and safety, was indicted on third-degree felony counts of tampering with physical evidence and retaliation.

Claire Dawson-Brown, director of the grand jury division of the Travis County prosecutor's office said the indictments were returned Thursday.

Texas coach Mack Brown suspended both players after their arrests following the home invasion on July 27.

Bill Hines, who represents Henry, told the Austin-American Statesman that his client was looking forward to clearing his name in court.

``The only thing he's guilty of is being a good friend,'' Hines said.

Ariel Payan, Jones' lawyer, declined to comment to the newspaper and didn't return calls to The Associated Press on Friday.

Jones was involved in stealing a laptop, electronics and marijuana, court documents say. Henry was asked to dispose of the stolen property, according to an arrest warrant.

Former Texas safety Robert Joseph also faces aggravated robbery charges stemming from the incident. He had already been dismissed from the team after his arrest on a separate burglary charge in June.

No. 17 Texas is awaiting a bowl invitation.
