CHENEY, Wash. (AP) -Beau Baldwin is heading back to Eastern Washington to become the Eagles' head football coach. The 35-year-old Baldwin, the head coach at Central Washington for the past year, was introduced at a news conference Friday by Eastern athletic director Bill Chaves. An Eagles assistant for four years before taking the Central Washington job, Baldwin replaces Paul Wulff, who left to take the Washington State job. Baldwin signed a three-year contract with a two-year option that pays a base salary of $100,000 a year, EWU athletic officials said. In his lone season as CWU, Baldwin's Wildcats posted a 10-3 record and went to the NCAA Division II playoffs. Baldwin's selection came after Fresno State offensive coordinator Jim McElwain turned down an offer from Eastern, saying the timing was not right to return to his alma mater.
