PITTSBURGH (AP) -Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Cedrick Wilson has been charged with assaulting his estranged girlfriend at a suburban restaurant Wednesday night.

A police criminal complaint said the 29-year-old Wilson entered Patron Mexican Grill in Pine Township shortly before 8 p.m. and saw Lindsey Paulat sitting at the bar. Authorities allege that he pushed her on the shoulder and then punched her in the face.

In January, Wilson and Paulat were involved in a fight at Wilson's home that ended with her holding police at bay for several hours.

Authorities say Wilson was in the Allegheny County Jail on Wednesday night awaiting arraignment on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

A message left with the answering service of Wilson's attorney, Paul Goltz, was not immediately returned Wednesday night.
