It seems like it was only yesterday the NBA regular season started (well not really) and those betting professional basketball plunged themselves into the daily grind of picking hopefully, mostly winners. Here is a tribute to you for one last hurrah before the playoffs begin, with today’s full slate.

Detroit at Cleveland 7:05E

This game means nothing for the number two and four seeds in the Eastern Conference. These two have played UNDER 13 of last 16 in Cleveland.

Philadelphia at Charlotte 7:05E

The Sixers are seventh seed in the East and would like win to end three game losing streak and finish 41-41. Problem is the home team is 6-1 ATS when these two tangle.

New York at Indiana 7:05E

In what has to be the last game Isiah Thomas coaches for the Knicks, New York is a 6.5-underdog at Sportsbook.com. The Knickerbockers are 2-9 ATS after failing to cover.

Washington at Orlando 7:05E

With nothing at stake for the number five and three seeds out of the Southeast Division, these teams could make it 8-3 OVER when playing in Mickey Mouse’s backyard.

New Jersey at Boston 7:35E

Boston is top seed in the East, with best record overall, best spread cover record and best ATS road mark in the NBA. What does this have to do with tonight, nothing. Road team has covered eight of last nine.

Atlanta at Miami 7:35E

Rumors of Pat Riley not coaching tonight’s final Miami regular season game to go watch the Canadien national basketball proved unfounded. What is 100 percent true is Atlanta is in postseason for the first time in nine years.

Utah at San Antonio 9:35E

Called a friend, who is MTI grad to figure this out. San Antonio wins, they are third seed in the West and Utah is fourth, period. If Jazz win for the first time in 20 meetings in southern Texas, they are the third seed, and if Houston and Phoenix both win, the Spurs fall all the way to sixth. If either doesn’t win, the defending champs finish fourth or fifth, depending, and could meet Utah in first round. Only thing for sure is the Spurs are 7-0 ATS against the Jazz at home. This is nightcap on ESPN.

Milwaukee at Minnesota 8:05E

Only Sesame Street cares about this game, since both teams start with the letter M.

L.A. Clippers at Houston 8:35E

Houston is a two touchdown favorite over the Clippers and need to win and have the Spurs and Suns lose to secure a first round home court advantage. If not, this banged up team will be fifth or six seed. The road team has covered 17 of last 21 meetings.

New Orleans at Dallas 7:05E

This is the front end of ESPN doubleheader, with New Orleans seeking first ever division title (20 years) and number two seed. Dallas with a win is number seven seed in the West and would face off against these same Hornets. If the Mavs lose and Denver wins, they fall to eight and catch the Lakers instead. Dallas is 12-0 and 8-4 ATS in last dozen meetings with N.O./Char. franchise.

Toronto at Chicago 8:35E

Toronto is sixth seed in the East and is a 6.5-point road underdog, figuring to not have starters play and Nanuck of the North as first sub off the bench. Chicago is 1-8 ATS when favored by 5 to 10 points. As Bulls fans leave the United Center for last time this season passing Michael Jordan statue, they will fondly remember the good old days.

Memphis at Denver 9:05E

Denver can still finish seventh with a win and Dallas loss. If Grizzlies uniforms look a little messy, good reason, they brought in Memphis barbeque for final pre-game road meal. Denver is 6-1 ATS hosting the Grizz.

Portland at Phoenix 10:05E

Phoenix still has outside chance to finish as high as fourth, however if everything plays to form, the Suns will stay right at current number six slot. Phoenix opened as 12-point home favorites and are 3-7-1 ATS when favored by more than 11.

Seattle at Golden State 10:35E

This Golden State club with a win, will have the highest winning percentage of any team to not make the playoffs since the league went to 16-team format. This will not be Seattle’s last court battle, as the former Sonics owner and the new one will battle it out to see if they really do move to Oklahoma City next season.
