BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Bills running back Marshawn Lynch will temporarily lose his drivers license and pay $150 in fines after admitting Friday he was driving his SUV last month when he hit a woman crossing a street and left the scene.

Lynch apologized to the victim Friday before heading into the Department of Motor Vehicles office in downtown Buffalo to plead guilty Friday to a traffic infraction - failure to exercise due care.

He later apologized in writing to the team and its fans.

A plea deal last week between his lawyer and Erie County prosecutors allowed Lynch to avoid a criminal charge on the hit-and-run.

The deal was announced shortly before a grand jury was to begin investigating whether Lynch was driving the Porsche Cayenne when it struck and injured the woman in the city's bar district early in the morning on May 31.
