CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) -The Arena Football League and its players have reached a collective bargaining agreement that could clear the way for play to resume in 2010.

League executive Jim Renacci told The Associated Press the agreement was reached Friday. He said Saturday the labor agreement is just one step toward getting back on the field next year. The league also plans to restructure into a single entity ownership model.

The league canceled its 2009 season in December.

The NFLPA represents the indoor league's players and did not immediately comment.
