MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -West Virginia coach Bill Stewart says quarterback Jarrett Brown is day to day after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit.

Stewart says Brown didn't practice Sunday. He was tackled by Marshall defensive backs Ashton Hall and Ahmed Shakoor on West Virginia's first offensive series Saturday.

Stewart says he won't know until later this week whether Brown will start for No. 22 West Virginia on Saturday at home against Connecticut.
