LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook left with a concussion in the first quarter of Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins.

Redskins tight end Chris Cooley left in the second quarter with an ankle injury. Neither Westbrook nor Cooley were expected to return.

Westbrook was hurt when his helmet collided with linebacker London Fletcher's right knee while being dragged down by defensive lineman Lorenzo Alexander at the end of a 5-yard run.

Westbrook remained on the ground for several minutes before he was helped up and led off the field directly to the locker room.

Westbrook had three carries for 13 yards at the time he was hurt.

Cooley, who caught passes on the Redskins' first two offensive plays, was hurt on the first play of the second quarter. He walked to the sideline but was later carted off to the locker room.

Cooley was the fourth Washington player to have an injury announced, following cornerback Byron Westbrook (knee), linebacker H.B. Blades (knee) and defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin (sprained elbow). Philadelphia safety Macho Harris also suffered an ankle injury.
