CINCINNATI (AP) -Fifth-ranked Cincinnati is getting quarterback Zach Collaros ready to play at Syracuse on Saturday while Tony Pike tries to adjust to a new cast on his non-throwing arm.

It's likely that Collaros, a sophomore backup, will make his second straight start for the Bearcats (7-0). Collaros threw for three touchdowns and had only two incompletions in a 41-10 victory over Louisville last Saturday.

Pike had to have a new plate inserted in his injured left forearm after he got hurt during a win at South Florida on Oct. 15. Pike had a similar medical procedure last season, and missed two games.

Coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday that he's getting Collaros ready to start at Syracuse (3-4), though he hasn't totally ruled out Pike, who will try to practice this week.
