DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - One of the most prolific duos in Duke history could rewrite the Blue Devils' record book this season.

Quarterback Sean Renfree is already the most accurate quarterback in school history and enters the year with an outside shot at becoming its leader in passing yardage.

And go-to receiver Conner Vernon should become the Atlantic Coast Conference's career leader in two significant pass-catching categories by November.

Duke's on-field struggles have largely overshadowed the Renfree-to-Vernon connection through the years. The Blue Devils haven't had a winning season or reached a bowl game since 1994.

Both Renfree and Vernon want that to change as seniors.
