Purdue (1-0) at No. 22 Notre Dame (1-0), 3:30 p.m. (NBC) Line: Notre Dame by 14 1/2 Series Record: Notre Dame leads 55-26-2. WHAT'S AT STAKE A quick 2-0 start for both teams after easy wins in their openers. The Boilermakers routed Eastern Kentucky 48-6 and the Irish went all the way to Ireland to do the same to Navy, 50-10. Purdue's last 2-0 start was 2007 and Notre Dame's came in 2008. KEY MATCHUP Purdue QB Caleb TerBush and WR O.J. Ross against ND freshman CB KeiVarae Russell. TerBush is coming off a one-game suspension and his replacement Robert Marve threw for three touchdowns. Ross caught eight balls last week and Purdue could look to pick on Russell. Russell, who got the starter's job when Lo Wood was lost for the season to an Achilles tendon tear, was beaten for a 25-yard TD pass that was Navy's only six-pointer last week. PLAYERS TO WATCH Purdue: QB TerBush. After a week off, can he be as effective as Marve, who might also play? The Boilermakers, with RB Akeem Shavers, could look to run the ball more with TerBush under center than Marve. TerBush had 83 carries a year ago. Notre Dame: QB Everett Golson. Golson's college debut was a strong one when he completed 12 of 18. Now he plays in front of the home crowd for the first time against a much more physical and athletic defense.
