AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith must like what he sees of Texas' defense.

The same could be said of Texas' David Ash when he watches the Mountaineers.

The two hottest quarterbacks in the country - Smith and Ash rank 1-2 in pass efficiency respectively - face two struggling defenses when the No. 11 Longhorns (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) host No. 8 West Virginia (4-0, 1-0) on Saturday night.

West Virginia surrendered nine touchdowns in last week's 70-63 win over Baylor. The Texas defense has given up five touchdowns of 44 yards or longer this season.
