CHICAGO (AP) - Houston second baseman Jose Altuve left the Astros' game against the Cubs in the fifth inning Tuesday night with discomfort in his left groin.

Altuve had missed time earlier in the season due to a similar injury.

Jed Lowrie replaced Altuve in the leadoff spot, and Tyler Greene moved from shortstop to second base.

The 22-year-old Altuve is having a breakout season with Houston, posting a .290 average with 33 stolen bases in 147 games. He was named to the NL All-Star team.

Right fielder Scott Moore also left the game due to injury. He suffered irritation in the AC joint in his left shoulder diving for a ball in the second inning.

The last-place Astros are trying to avoid a franchise-worst 107th loss.
