COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Marcus Murphy returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, setting a Missouri single-season record with four kick returns for scores. Murphy broke the mark of three by John Moseley in 1973, two on punts and a third on a kickoff, on a jaunt that got the Tigers on the scoreboard in a game dominated by top-ranked Alabama on Saturday. The return came on the second play after the game resumed following a 38-minute delay due to lightning and cut the deficit to 28-7. Murphy, a sophomore, returned two punts for touchdown in the opener against Southeastern Lousiana and a third punt for TD against Central Florida. He scored on just his sixth kickoff return of the season, with wide receiver T.J. Moe getting that duty most of the year.
